Hi Paul:
It is a very small world. Very surprised to see you on here!
I know that you collect on Bob Hope. Also you know that I collect on Jerry Lewis. I bought a 16mm print of "The Nutty Professor" from Jeff Joseph's company Sabu Cat quite a few years ago for my Jerry Lewis collection. I paid $325.00 for the print. It was listed as "near mint". Anyway the print needed some work and I worked on the print for many hours. Remaking splices, trying to restore the print the best I could. Jeff had a two week grace period to return the print for a refund. I continued to work on the print and the two weeks flew by very quickly. I assumed the print would be runnable. I projected the first two reels and there was no problem. The problem I ran into was on reel number three. I can't get reel number three to run. So I have been looking for a good reel number three for years on this title. Never been able to find one. I think my print is a CRI print. It is not in I.B. Technicolor. Maybe we could some how help each other out on this. I continue to search for a reel number three. The first two reels have quite a few remade splices. Anyway, I thought I would let you know. Jeff is a good guy and I never mentioned this problem to him. I should have returned the print but assumed it would run. I think the stock on reel three shrunk. I came to that conclusion when the reel three would not line up with the perforations on my splicer. I think this might be why reel three won't run. The other two run. So I continue to look for a loose reel three. Or have two very expensive loose reels from "The Nutty Professor"! Sincerely, Tom

Tom,

Thanks for the reply. Actually I am looking for REEL ONE. I have reels two & three in beautiful IB TECHNICOLOR (excellent condition). Of course I would prefer to find an IB Tech REEL ONE. So if you ever come across one, please let me know and I will look for reel three for you. Good to hear from you. I am new to this forum -- I only just joined a few days ago. Talk to you soon!

Dear Paul;
Thanks for your kind posting! I will keep a look out for you for a I.B. Technicolor loose reel number one. I appreciate you doing the same for me on this title with a reel #3. Either in good eastmancolor or I.B. Technicolor.
Please stay in touch! Best, Tom
