"with live accompianment (sic) by the jazz passengers a la radio play style --with the sound off"
No disrespect...but WHY?
One of the great and influential music tracks of the period.
Is this kind of like one of those projects where Shakespeare is performed with everyone wearing paper bags? Why not use some minimalist print from Sweden that might better fit the format?

If your 35mm search doesn't pan out, Swank has "Creature..." on 16mm in 3D.

To echo Doug, however, why in the world would you want to do this?

Laurie,
Wouldn't you prefer to add a "jazz score" to a silent film? Like others here, I'm at a loss to understand why you would want to take a film with an existing score and spoken dialogue, and overlay that with a "jazz score".... are you planning on creating intertitles to the audience will know what is going on in the absence of dialogue?
