Again, im asking anyone if they have cartoons for sale...its abut time i expand my collection. I only have 1 sound cartoon, and obviously i need more to fulfill my collection.
Wanted:
Type: Animation or Claymation ranging from 1900 to the 1950's.
Format: Preferably 16mm- sound if possible- and any silent cartoons with music and maybe sound effects. Silent cartoons too
Studios: Van Beuren, WB (B/w looney tunes or merrie melodies only!- maybe some redrawn lt's) Disney (1920-early 1930's) UB Iwerks (Flip The Frog/ only) Paul Terry (Silent cartoons only/ with soundtracks if applies) Fleischer (Koko the clown/ early sound cartoons/ early betty boop/popeye- color classics wth NTA or UM&M titles only) Bray (1910's/1920's) Famous Studios, Clokey Prod. (Gumby)

Series: Noveltoons, Terrytoon Aesop's Fables (1920's/1910's), Laugh-O-Grams (Disney) Disney's Alice and Oswald Cartoons, Anything Else from 1910's or 1920's, Winsor McCay^^Gumby adventures

Characters: Bosko, Buddy, Alice (Disney 1920's), Oswald (Disney only- reissues with soun fine) Farmer Alfalfa (Silent only), Flip The Frog, Koko The Clown. Betty Boop, B/w Porky pig and Daffy duck or redrawn, Pete The Pup (Lantz under Bray studios) Jerry On The Job, Bobby Bumps, Happy Hooligan, Us Fellers, Krazy Kat (1910's and 1920's only), Felix The Cat (1910's, 1920's, 1930's b/w sound versions of silent or silent only) Mutt and Jeff, Little Lulu, Little Audrey, Casper (earlier the better), GUMBY!

Versions: Original B/w or colorized (ipay less for colorized) silent versions of silent only, silent with soundtrack added (excellent)

Titles: I do not care what titles these have, as long as they have toitles at all. They must be titles that refer to the artoons, such as with titles, but can be reissue titles of any sort (films for ohome use, tv, etc. or replacement but with title ofcartoon)
Must hae beginning and end titles.

Condition:
1. Mint Codnition- i will only buy this if i can afford it- otherwise NOT
2. Excellent- a few lines here or there- only if i can afford tihs
3. Good- a few lines, scratches, and splices- my most desirable condition since it is playable and affordable- most dfinately if i can afford it
4. O.K.- lines, scratches, many splices- i will buy this if i can eatch the film
5. Poor- i will nly buy this if i can watch it (lines are not to distracting) tons of splices (i can follow the storyline etc.)
MINIMAL SPROCKET DAMAGE- one thing i cant stand- only if it is repairable and not throughout the whole film
Note- If the film has been duped and the picture cannot be framed because there are numerous frame lines in diffrent places- i will not buy it or i will pay much much less.

I will probably not pay more than $25 for a cartoon (if you have something tnhsat costs more and think i would be interestd, still contact me!)

Email me with your lists- anything welcome- i will respond always but i might not always want what you have, but theres nothing to lose.

Thank you.
Please email me instead of posting here. Cartoonsonfilm@aol.com

Have you been searching eBay? There are always loads of old 16mm cartoons. Many of the members here on the forum post their films there to bring best price--but sometimes they go very low in price, depending on the cartoon.

That's exactly where i look, but i have these problems.
1. I am not patient with such things, and i go into "self-destruct" mode when somone outbids me in the last second.
2. I want a set price, and i want to be able to reserve the film. Hopefully I'll find someother souce. Thanx for your reply though:)

Thomas -- I think part of the problem you are having is the price range you are willing to pay -- most cartoons out there are much more expensive than $25. I just bought two cartoons, one for $150 and another for $125. I'm not saying that all cartoons are that expensive (I've got a few cheap ones that I've put on ebay, and a few more that i've got still to sort though), but most of the "good stuff" is not going to be that cheap...

I'll raise the price range to $50 for now. Now can someone offer me some silent cartoons or something?:)

Another solution would be to subscribe to The Big Reel.

You can buy and reserve from that newspaper. Just do a search for The Big Reel online for subscription information.

The only problem with that is--unless you get it First Class mail, a lot of the more desireable items are sold by the time 2nd class mail subscribers get it.
