Hi Greg,

Wow - your "want list" looks very much like mine! I've been looking for a Moroder version of Metropolis on 16mm for years - I don't think any were struck. It's not on DVD and I think it had a very limited VHS release (I've got it on VHS, but you can't put VHS up on a big screen, well... you can but why bother?!?!).

I've got a nice A/S low fade Xanadu that I'll be making available for direct sale (no auctions, just direct sales) on my new website in a few weeks. I'm going on vacation for a week but hope to have the site up and running when I return from Florida. You can visit the site at www.**********.com - but there's really no content yet. I'm working on getting the registration code in place, and then the online sales component (you'll be able to instantly buy anything that's available online with PayPal - no wondering if somebody else already "got it").

I'll make a formal announcement in a few weeks, but in the meantime save your spare change - Xanadu will be on the list of titles available for sale. :)

PS: JW - that goes for you too! :)

The Moroder version of Metropolis is on 16mm, I ran it once. The tints etc were beautiful. I think October Films rented it out years ago and might be out of business now.
Good luck with the list.

Hi Greg,

I've got an adapted Scope (letterbox) print of "Death in Venice" on ebay right now...

Thanks Michael, will look out for your Xanadu print. Is it hard matted?

I know that the Metropolis Moroder version was in circulation through Cinecom which became October Films, but they must have made only a few prints (if that) because I've never been able to find one yet.

Hi Greg,

Lots of nice titles on your want list! I recently got a print of 'Hell in the Pacific' It's not something I want in my collection, so it can go soon (after watching it). I only checked the color when I got it. It has beautiful color (I think Agfa stock, but I'm not entitely sure). I didn't realise it was a scope film, so I didn't check whether it is a flat or scope print . The bad news is, it has Dutch subtitles. If you're still interested, email me. I'm happy to sell or trade.
