Does anyone have a copy of Issue 51 of Classic Film Collector? I would like either to buy one, or arrange somehow to get a copy (scan, xerox...?) of the second part of an article therein on Alexander Victor. Issue 50 cuts off just before the part I really needed to see re: the introduction of the original Victor Cine camera. Appreciate any information. Thanks.

I am certain that the whole history that this article is taken from is on the net.
Can't lay my hands on it right now, but a Google search should easily locate it.
Peter.

Yes, but widely scattered, and at least in part wrong. I'm reasonably certain the article is wrong also, since the first part has alluded already to Victor's priority with the 16mm camera, which is incorrect. I'm working on a book on the early Cine Kodaks and Kodascopes and the introduction of the 16mm format, and would like to see the article itself in its entirety. I've been through most of the internet sources already and much more.

Was just now checking, and all I have it seems are up to #36 with the oldest being #15 - I was certain I had more, but apparently not - I was looking to locate earlier issues (before #14), but it's a rough go - Now I'm selling the issues I have, those and Super 8 FILMMAKER - Anyway, I tried but no #51 - Shorty

Thanks for looking. Do you have any Cine Kodak News? I'm also looking for certain issues of that publication to complete a set, and very early issues in particular (about the first 20 months). Meant to write to you anyway. I have Berth Marks if you're still looking for it.

Yes, I still want BERTH MARKS - How's the sound and picture? - Unless you'd like a trade, I won't have cash for about another week or so - By chance, have you other L&H shorts? - Need several others - Shorty

Joe,
Just a quick note to let you know I hadn't forgotten. Test week, and I've had no time for anything else. I'll get you a proper answer when I've got a few minutes after Thurs AM.

Joe,
Finally some breathing room. I bought a box of 8mm films this summer, some of which are sound. I'ts a big box, so I didn't look them over thoroughly then, but assumed all were sound until I looked again at Berth Marks which, along with many of the others, is not as it turns out. The only two Super-8 mag sound LH films are "Two Tars" and "Big Business", both from Blackhawk. I've got a sound projector stored away somewhere, but couldn't lay my hands on it now--it's buried in a huge stack of boxes from when we moved the collection awhile back, and I've not had time to dig deep for it since I bought these, so I've not been able to preview any of them. They are library films, but appear to be in excellent condition. If you're interested in these two LH films, I won't stick you with anything that's not satisfactory since I can't view them first, so will take a return. I bought these mostly for resale, though I intend to keep a few. I'm focusing on early 16mm CK equipment (and 1923-1925 home movies, when I can find them), and related paper materials if you have anything to trade, or will sell them if you prefer.
