I would like to find a Eiki SSL for cheap and Ebay units keep going out of my limit.
I would like to have a 16mm machine to periodicaly play with but I am not willing to make a large investment in it. Maybe somebody here can part with one at a fair but frugal price. :o

How much are they selling for on ebay these days? I was able to get some for $50 -$75 + shipping not so long ago which is really quite cheap... IMO Anything under $100 is a good deal.

I would agree that obtaining one under 100 bucks is a good deal but I am not wanting to invest a whole lot in one and I have bought one off ebay before for under $25.00. Call me cheap if you want to but I just dont want to spend a whole lot of money on it. I will find one sooner or later. I just figured somebody may have an extra that they could let go of on here.

This may be a stupid question, but why would anyone sell you a good working projector for $25 when they can put it on ebay and get at least double, if not 4-5 times that much???

BTW - in my experience, the machines that go for $25 on ebay generally tend to have things wrong with them....

The last $25.00 Eiki I bought was in perfect shape. I also sold it when I switched over to 35mm for about 10 dollars over what I paid for it. Also I’m sure folks have bought eikis before for over $100 and got a screwing so I don’t hold much faith in your evaluation of what you get for $25.00.
In any case, 16mm isn't a high priority in my life and never will be again like it and 35mm was. I cannot justify the expense just for nostalgia and especially knowing now that all I would be doing was padding the pockets of somebody out there just looking for a profit. I will find one sooner or later and I will not pay a whole lot for it and also I figure you and a bunch of other folks here have picked up good deals as well for way under the $100.00 range.
In any case no big deal. ;)
