I ventured out to work at 5:50 AM and I HAD to turn back home - cars were sliding all over Rt 22 East! As I turned back, the snow became white out conditions! Now, I have to cancel my vacay day on Dec 16 because I was unable to make it into work all because of this freakin snow storm!

What's the problem? I made it to work. I thought you east coasters were tough.

I made it to work too. You didn't try hard enough! Don't you know that you're supposed to put your LIFE and PROPERTY on the line for your job? Don't you know they come first, above all else? Boy, I'd fire you if you worked for me and turned back in this! :p

I'll be heading out in a little while to get to the office for a couple of hours and then up to the Lafayette to prep the show of MIGHTY JOE YOUNG for tomorrow morning. The show must go on! :)

Jeff,
What time are you stopping over to shovel my driveway? Fortunately, I am allowed to work from home on days like this, so I will be here waiting...
Jeff Sumberg

Mitchell, the fee for driveway work is one Knitron lamphouse w/ power supply.

Jeff, there must of been a burst of cosmic radiation. Your transmission came in garbled. Please don't repeat.

See, Linda and Mitchell, you should have gone to work. Now your co-workers will laugh at you Monday.

It can't compare to what we got up here in Massachusetts - what a MESS. Officially, I think we got 10 inches of snow - certainly not anything we Yankees can't handle. But the way it came down was intense. For about 7 hours it just snowed "normally" with a fair amount of accumulation. Around 4:00 p.m. it switched over to rain as forecasted - but it turned from rain to a heavy sleet with intense winds causing it to blow sideways, coating EVERYTHING with ice. THEN it changed into a "snowderstorm" with blizzard conditions, a complete white-out where you couldn't see more than 10-20', heavy snow with heavy winds blowing it sideways and going EVERYWHERE. All of this was accompanied by intense thunder and lightning, something very rare in a snow storm (a plane landing at Logan was hit by the lightning, but landed safely - the passengers on board all freaked out and reported feeling the energy pass through the cabin and THEM).
It brought all traffic to a halt, a ride which normally takes 5 minutes would take 90, a ride which normally takes 30 minutes would take 3 hours - and there were a LOT of accidents as you might imagine.
And it's not even "officially" Winter yet................. :(

The roads were not fully cleared until late in the day so no one will laugh at me. Many of my co-workers have trucks or live in the same town they work in. My Geo was skating on Rt 22 - they don't pay me well enough to drive in under those conditions!
Michael, what a MESS you had!

HA HA HA
See, I told you.
Oh wait, it's not Monday yet. I'll have to remember.
Michael, we got 10 inches here too in Northern NJ. It stayed all snow though, and it ended FAST. In 30 minutes it went from snowing to full blue sunny sky.
