Your right Peter. I could be "suffern'" and live in some hell-hole like New York... ;)

Actually, I live and work primarily in the great state of New Jersey. Suffern's only about a quarter mile past the NJ border, so it hasn't gotten polluted by the rest of NY :)
hell-hole like New York...
Your last visit must have been during the Dinkins adminstration... :)

OK Peter, ya got me! :)
(Actually my last visit to NYC was just after the 9/11 thing. I was part of a SoCal team that went to help dig through things. I still have my NYFD T-Shirt they gave me!)

Have you heard about all the snow falling in Japan (over 13 feet:eek: )!
Also, in Seattle, they have had over 24 straight days of rain causing mud slides!

I don't know about where you are, but here in Northern NJ Old Man Winter came back at 60mph. It went from high 50's this afternoon to 30 now at 8:30p. An hour ago it was raining, then it quickly changed to sleet, and now it's snowing full force and sticking. "They" say 1 to 3 inches. "I" say take it away please...

This fast of a temp change mostly happens in the mid west. When I was in Oklahoma City, if you didn't like the weather just wait five minutes!! But people please, we have been very lucky so far in the northeast. Just hang in there!! St. Patrick's is just around the corner!!!

I received only a light crunchy snow dusting but those winds are mighty LOUD! Good thing I don't have to venture outside today! Brrrr!!!

I got 1 to 2 inches here in far northen NJ. It was enough to use the snow blower on. The winds however have been howling and gusting heavy and brought some tree branches down. Considering yesterday at this time it was 55, now it's 19 with serious wind chill!:eek::(

15 degrees at 5:00 AM and lots of black ice and pot holes making for a fun drive!
My car doors were frozen as well as the front door to our office! We had to enter from the other side of the building today.:p
But, Wednesday it will be 54 degrees!

68 degrees and partly cloudy here in Dallas. But at least you've seen rain in the last six months.

Jim's got a point. Let's send him some of that moisture. Anyone got a fan?

**Lin plugs in one enormous fan and sends a vast amount of moisture to Jim and his Dallas residents.:) **
I say we watch "Singing in the Rain" now!

Nope, didn't work. It's going to rain heavy again here tomorrow night. I suggest you start singing in the rain yourself.

Are you referring to me singing or to Jim as in singing for his supper, but instead, it will be for rain.:D

I'm hoping we'll get some more snow soon... it may increase my favorite activity.

Snow shoveling can be rather strenuous so please, do be careful!:D

I am very curious what this snow woman looks like.
You appear to be so talented in many areas, Jack!:)

Here in NJ, I think old man Winter is having a battle to the finish with Lady Spring. On Saturday we had tempertures close to 60, then in a few hours it sank to the high twenties, got extreamly windy (60mph gusts), changed from heavy rain to snow in about an hour. It snowed several inches with a nice crust of ice, and the temps sank to the low teens for a few days. Now, Wednesday morning, I wake up to 55 degrees, all the snow from a few days ago is gone overnight, it's raining with a very strong wind again (60mph gusts again!) and it's supposed to rain on and off throughout the day with Thunderstorms. And of course, tonight it's going to sink into the low 30s again. It's weird.

(This is the second time I am trying to post.....we just had a brown out here in Union and as I was driving to work, there were 3 of them in North Plainfield on Rt 22)
I hope all is well at home with all my pets and their electrical elements!
It is 62 degrees here now and by 4:00 PM temps will be at 49 degrees!
Jeff, can you imagine how many inches of snow with BIG drifts we would get if the temps were low?
