Old Man Winter is early in NJ. We had 4 inches of snow yesterday and more expected tonight.
It is the kind of snow one can have fun making a snowman from!:D

Jeff,

If you put in ski lifts running up your driveway, you'd be fine...

Is Jeff's uphill slope worse than yours? :)

I'd say they rate about the same. His is a bit longer though. The problem with mine is you never get to a level surface. The car parked at top is on the full slope.

Driving in this stuff is even worse, especially with those who drive like idiots!

Snow? Glad it's still warm enough to put my top down on my car going to work this morning. So-Cal, we have everything.
One thing we don't have to worry about in the midwest is an earth quake knocking the snow off of my car.

I don't mind the snow because with it comes hockey. I had to drive to Holland, MI and back this weekend for my 10 year olds hockey tournament. It was worth it! He played great and the team did well. We needed a win in the last round robin game to advance to the finals. The score was tied 4 - 4 and my son's team was putting on the pressure. They must've hit the pipes 5 times with no luck. With about two minutes left my son snapped a one-timer and just missed getting a goal from in front of the net by an inch. They ended up tied and won in the consolation game for third place. It was some of the most exciting hockey that I've ever watched. As much as I like the Wings, these kids are more fun to watch.

LMAO!!!!:D
I had to do that myself in order to clean it off of my car yesterday!

earthquakes are very rare (well, big enough to cause damage that is), so there's nothing to worry about. :D
I see you've never seen the movie "Escape From LA" where Los Angeles falls off the continent.

Old Man Winter got cold feet and he never came as predicted. GOOD. STAY AWAY.

We had an inch of snow this morning and as I was cleaning my car, I noticed my neighbor left his car door open! I bet his seat was a bit wet this morning!:D

As I'm further north of you, we had nothing to a dusting. Nothing on the road, a dusting on the car. The further north you were with this storm, the better.

I heard Long Island received 5 inches - they can keep it!!

We were supposed to get 4-8 inches here in SouthEastern Massachusetts today, with the storm starting just after midnight last night and running until after noon today.

Instead we got a light dusting for about 25 minutes starting around 7:30 a.m. today! I hope this is indicative of what Winter has to offer this year (but I doubt it!!!). :)

By all accounts this storm tracked further south and east than they expected. But, as usual, all the hype and dire warnings were up. Milk and water sold out, the price of oil is now >$60 again, and gas went up 3 cents, etc.

I personally think it was because I bought a new pair of gloves and waterproof shoes at lunch yesterday.;)

I'm dreaming of a white christmas. Bring it on baby. Nothing better than firing up that snow blower. What else is there to do in the winter but move snow around?

I just emailed Old Man Winter and asked him to stop all snow going into NJ this winter and dump it all in your area, just for you, Jim!:p

Bring it on and when I'm sitting at home because of the snow and you are at work I will thank you. The good thing is they will have the roads cleared in time for hockey.

I would rather re-clean a disgusting, dirty copy machine at work than shovel or travel in snow!
