ritzcam.com sent me this way, said the experts on this type of camera were at this forum. I came across a RCA 16 mm military projector camera AND amplifier contained in nice wooden boxes. Great condition!
Actual type:16mm projector PG-200-A military
I am including pictures. Can someone out there please let me know what they think the worth of it is working?
thanks so much
Dayla

Would be a lot nicer if the spool arms were there.

Rick Janetta has a pair of PG reel arms on ebay now.

I don't see any reel arms either...
This projector is similar to the RCA Junior made in the 40s and early 50s. As a military unit, it is probably heavier duty than the domestic units.
Performance-wise, it would probably not be comparable to machines from the 60s and 70s (notice it only takes 750 watt max lamp)
If complete, worth at least $50, without the reel arms and not working, far less than that.

Although it undoubtedly needs re-capping, those units had 6L6 amps, which probably are rated at around 20-25 watts, and yes, they are the forerunner and virtually identical to the later 400 series machines, except that the 400's had a slightly different exciter housing, smaller amps, and ultimately induction motors (the PG's and early 400's had governor type motors).
