Screen/Web Format Changes?

Has the format of the forum been changed as it appears on a web browser? Sometime last week the forum went from taking the entire screen width of the web browser to about 75% of my screen width of 1280. Now I get this narrow column rather than using the entire screen area.

If this is a forced change, I don't particularly like it, and preferred it the old way.

If this is a selectable format, can someone explain how I can set it back the way it used to be?

Jeff, sounds like your system has updated to IE7, which does exactly what you describe, but only on this forum.

Peter, Nope. Using Firefox.

Also tried Mozilla, Seamonkey (also a Mozilla product) and all display the same way.

I just tried IE (6.x) and it displays the same way. Something has been changed on the forum.

OK, so now that we have a consensus that everyone is getting this, whatever setting "bit" the administrator toggled to do this, can we have it changed back to the way it used to be? It's a waste of screen real estate. Pages are supposed to size their width dynamically.

Seems "someone" heard and things are back to the way they were - at least I getting the "wide" version again.
